Edward "Lloyd" MacHardy age 78 of MacLennan’s Mountain passed away unexpectedly at home. Born at MacLennan’s Mountain he was a son of the late Duncan Edward and Elaine Constance (West) MacHardy. Lloyd worked at various jobs throughout his working career but his passion was music. He loved folk music and wrote his own songs and entertained at many different venues. He was a member of St. John’s Presbyterian Church, MacLennan’s Mountain. Lloyd was a member of the Stellarton Male Chorus. He is survived by a son Stephen MacHardy, Dartmouth; sister Vera Schwartz, Halifax/MacLennan’s Mountain; brothers Stewart, Upper Tantalon; Alan, Edmonton; several nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held at 2 pm on Saturday in St. John’s Presbyterian Church, MacLennan’s Mountain with Rev. Charles McPherson officiating. The family will receive friends from 1 pm until the time of the service at 2 pm in the church. Burial will be in the MacLellan’s Mountain Cemetery. Family flowers only. Donations in memory of Lloyd May be made to St. John’s Presbyterian Church, MacLennan’s Mountain or a charity of your choice. Arrangements are under the direction of the H.W.
