Stellarton : Doris Jean Wong age 74 of Poplar Street ,Stellarton passed away on Friday October 14th ,2016 in the Aberdeen Hospital ,New Glasgow. Born in New Glasgow she was a daughter of the late Molly Hardy. Doris was a member of the Michelin Retiree Club and the New Glasgow 55 Club. She was a devoted bingo and cribbage player. Doris is survived by her spouse Stan Wong Sons: Mike Wong(Lucy) , Allan Wong (Shona) Daughter Linda (Roger) Welham Grandchildren: Amanda ,Caitlin , Brandon , Adam and Claire. Brother : Stewart (Linda) Hardy She was predeceased by her first husband Thomas Wong , sisters Betty (Milton) Ross , Jane Arnold and brother Freddy Hardy The family will receive visitors from 1P.M. until 2:30 P.M. on Tuesday in the H.C.MacQuarrie Funeral Chapel . A memorial service will take place at 2:30 P.M. from the funeral home chapel with Rev. Charles McPherson officiating. A reception will follow the service at the funeral home Burial will be in the Lorne St. Cemetery Family flowers only please. Donations in memory of Doris may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
