Whooten, John Melbourne, 88 of High Crest Home, New Glasgow passed away September 23, 2016 at the Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow.
Born in Truro he was a son of the late Harry and Bessie(Ross)Whooten.
John grew up in the Stellarton area during his younger years. During his working years, he lived in Truro working for the CNR with the Extra Gang.
He is survived by a sister Doris(Gordon)Weir, Halifax; several nieces and nephews.
Cremation has take place. There will be no services at the request of the family.
Donations in memory of John may be made to the Nova Scotia heart and Stroke Foundation.
