Fraser’s Mountain , Pictou Co.: The family of Burton (Burt) Fraser Murphy , Glen Haven Manor ,formally of Fraser’s Mountain ,wish to announce his passing in his 82nd year, on September 7th ,2016 in the Aberdeen Hospital ,New Glasgow.
Born on December 15th ,1933 in Half Island Cove to James V. and Lillian M. (Hendsbee) Murphy.
Besides his parents , Burt was predeceased by brothers Cantley and Herman, sisters Bessie Munroe ,Vivian Munroe ,Geraldine Ross , Greta Green and Marilyn Burak.
Burt is survived by brothers Carl and Wayne , British Columbia, sister Judy Chadwick of New Brunswick. Also by numerous nieces and nephews.
Cremation will take place with no service by the request of the deceased. Interment will be at a later date in the St. James Anglican Church Cemetery , Half Way Cove , Guysborough County.
Due to Burt’s love of cats , donations may be made in his memory to the SPCA.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the H.W.Angus Funeral Home, New Glasgow.
