Obituary of Marian Meikle

Stellarton: Marian Marguerite Meikle age 89 of Glen Haven Manor and formerly of Acadia Ave. ,Stellarton passed away on Thursday June 23,2016 in the Aberdeen Hospital ,New Glasgow.
Born in New Glasgow she was the daughter of the late George and Annabelle (Reid) Poulain.
Marian was a resident of Stellarton for 60 years.
During her working career she worked as a teacher in her earlier years and then on to work in the retail industry.
She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church ,Stellarton and was a member of Harmony Chapter #25 Order of the Eastern Star.
Marian will be remembered for her love of her family and her baking which she enjoyed sharing with her family.
Surviving are a son Brian (Betty) of Stellarton
Daughters :Anne English (Lloyd) of Brandon Man.
Debbie (Robbie) Semple of Stellarton
Grandchildren: Jamie , Leslie , Garon , Larissa , Heather and Brian
12 great grandchildren
Brothers: John ( Mildred) Poulain of New Glasgow
Charles Poulain of Plymouth Park
Locally by a sister-in-law Myrtle Holmes of New Glasgow
She was predeceased by her husband James Everett Meikle
A memorial service will be held on Monday at 11 A.M. from the First Presbyterian Church ,Stellarton with Rev. Charles McPherson officiating.
A reception will follow the service in the church hall.
Burial will be in the Blue Mtn. Cemetery.
Donations in memory of Marian may be made to First Presbyterian Church Building Fund or to a charity of one’s choice.
