New Glasgow : Alvin Wayne Priest age 65 of MacDonald Street , New Glasgow passed away on Thursday May19th ,2016 in the AberdeenHospital ,New Glasgow.
Born in Priestville he was a son of the late Edison and Ella (MacDonald) Priest .
Alvin was a resident of New Glasgow for the past 42 years.
He was a retired employee of Michelin Tire ,after retiring Alvin enjoyed helping his brother-in-law Seymore doing forestry work.
He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church ,New Glasgow.
Alvin enjoyed spending time with family especially watching his granddaughters play hockey.
Surviving are his wife the former Mary MacNeil
Daughters: Tracy Purvis (John MacDonald) of MacLellan’s Brook
Tammy Priest (Trevor MacInnis) of Westville
Granddaughters ; Carlin , Garyn , Rogan and Hallie
Brothers : Hector Priest of New Glasgow
Raymond (Pearl) Priest of Trenton
Russell(Wanda) Priest of BlueMountain
Sisters: Charlotte MacKeeman of Linacy
Jane Farrell (Jerry MacPherson) of Churchville
Vera Jean (Steve) Patterson of Elmsdale
Michelle (Phillip) Rector of Priestville
Alvin was predeceased by sons Billy and Jason also a brother Gordon
The family will receive visitors from 2-4 & 7-9 P.M. on Saturday in the H.W.Angus Funeral Home .
Funeral service will be held from the funeral home chapel on Sunday at 2 P.M. with Rev. Dr. Glen Matheson officiating .
Burial will be in Our Lady of Lourdes Cemetery.
Family flowers only please.
