Hilda Marilyn Johnstone age 65 of Springville passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, May 14th, 2016 at home. Born in New Glasgow she was a daughter of the late Walter and Marion (Crossan) Johnson.
Hilda was a resident of Springville most of her life. She was a member of Springville Presbyterian Church. Hilda loved to sing and play the guitar.
She is survived by her children Raymond (Marcy) Johnstone, Riverton; Heather Townshend (Ken MacDonald), Glencoe; Cheryl Johnstone (Barry Himmelman), Lyons Brook; Billy (Stacy), Johnstone, Riverton; 7 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren;
sisters Joan Jarvis, Springville; Margaret MacDonald (Don Peers), Linacy; Marion (George) MacLean, Springville;
The family will receive friends from 10 am until the time of the memorial service at 11 am Wednesday May 18th, in the Springville Presbyterian Church with Rev. Gail Johnson-Murdock officiating. Burial will be in the Springville Cemetery. Donations in her memory may be made to New Hope Society.
Arrangements are under the direction of the H.W. Angus Funeral Home, New Glasgow.
