Obituary of Patrick Nicholson

Patrick Alan Nicholson Nov 26, 1957-April 19, 2016 Pat was not always a Pictou County boy. He was born in Portage La Prairie, Manitoba, the fourth child of five. He lived in Winnipeg, MB, Greenwoood, NS and Nanaimo, BC. The family moved back to Nova Scotia in 1974. This was pat’s home since that time. Pat was well known in the county and could be seen walking just about anywhere. He knew just about everybody and remembered everything about them. Times were not always easy for Pat, but there were some good times, and he had very good friends, Bob "Santa Claus" Whitman, chief among them. Pat was predeceased by his parents David and Eleanor Nicholson and an older brother David. He is survived by an older sister Sis, Stellarton; older brother Chris, Nanaimo, BC and youngest brother Todd, Campbell River, BC. Pat is also survived by many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. Cremation has taken place. A private memorial will take place at a later date. Special thanks to Dr. Eric Smith, the Emergency Staff at the Aberdeen Hospital and the Palliative Care Staff. I was lucky enough to be with him during his last hours.
