MacKeeman, Ralph Stanley, 72 of Linacy, passed away Monday May 2, 2016 at home with his family at his side.
He was a foster son of the late Douglas and Muriel Gordon of Westville.
Ralph was a former employee of the Evening News where he was employed as a Staff Editor for some 22years.
He is survived by his wife of 49 years Charlotte(Priest), Linacy; his children Stanley(Patsy), Nathan(Deborah), Gordon(Jillian), 3 beautiful grandchildren, Cody, Katelyn and Jessica; many nieces and nephews; foster brothers and sisters; Mona, Debbie, Bobby, Barbara, Patsy, Joan and June, Gordon Graham(Big Island), half-brother Kenneth Richards, California; brothers-in –law and sisters-in-law Hector, Alvin(Mary), Raymond(Pearl), Jane Farrell(Jerry MacPherson), Russell(Wanda)Priest, Vera(Steve)Patterson, Michelle(Phil)Rector.
He was predeceased by a foster brother Jimmy, a foster sister Mary, father-in-law and mother-in-law Edison and Ella Priest, brothers-in-law Gordon Priest and Douglas Farrell, and sister-in-law Nancy MacLennan.
His remains will rest at the H.W. Angus Funeral Home, New Glasgow for visiting from 2-4 and 6-8pm Thursday.
Cremation to follow.
A memorial service will be held 3pm Friday from the funeral home with Rev. Dr. Glen Matheson presiding. Burial of ashes will take place in the Priestville Cemetery.
Donations in memory of Ralph may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
At this time the family would like to extend a special thank you to the Palliative Care Unit of the Aberdeen Hospital, the VON, Home Care and Priscilla Sharkey and staff of 4-North at the Aberdeen Hospital.
