Obituary of Alexander Wadden

Wadden, Alexander "Alex", 94 passed away April 13, 2016 at the Glen Haven Manor, New Glasgow.
Born in New Glasgow on August 9, 1921 he was a son of the late Edward and Mary(Hastings)Wadden.
Alex was employed with Nova Scotia Power for over 33 years retiring in 1981.
During WWII Alex served with the Canadian Army at several bases across the country and was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Normandy Branch 34. Alex was best known to his family, friends and neighbours for his ability to fix, repair or build almost anything.
Alex and his wife most enjoyed summers at their Pictou Landing cottage.
Alex is survived by his son Wayne(Theresa), grandsons Greg, Jeff(Janice), granddaughter Jennifer, great-granddaughter Natalie Wadden, a sister Sylvia Matheson and daughter-in-law Beatrice Wadden.
He was predeceased by his wife Mary(Charlton) 2000. a son Jim(2015), brothers Bill, Albert, Charles, sisters Elizabeth(Charles)MacDonald, Mary, daughter-in-law Patricia(Fox)Wadden, a brother-in-law Fraser Matheson.
Cremation to take place.
At his request there will be no visitation or funeral services.
A graveside committal service will be held at a later date at the Abercrombie Cemetery.
