New Glasgow : Marilyn Allison Purvis age 75 of Walkerville passed away on Tuesday Jan 26th ,2016 in the AberdeenHospital ,New Glasgow.

Born in New Glasgow she was a daughter of the late Walter and Allison (Kirkwood) Beaton.

Marilyn was a member of SharonSt. JohnUnitedChurch and was a former member of the ladies guild.

She was a former employee of Hayman’s Insurance and Nova Scotia Power.

Marilyn enjoyed time with her family especially her grandchildren.

She was an avid card player .

Surviving are sons ; Graeme of Alberta

Brad of New Glasgow

Daughter ; Allyson (Allan) Crawford of Stellarton

Grandchildren : Meaghan Purvis , Callista Crawley , Taylor Crawley and Ivy Crawford

Brothers : Walter Beaton of Winnipeg

Graeme (Marilyn) Beaton of Calgary

Close friends : Joyce , Joan and Keith

She was predeceased by her husband Clifford , a sister Elizabeth (Betty) and a brother Bob

Cremation has taken place there will be no visitation or service by request . A family graveside service will take place at a later date.

Donations in memory of Marilyn may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or to the Palliative Care Society of the AberdeenHospital.

Arrangements are entrusted to the H.W.Angus Funeral Home .
