Please share a memory of Carron to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Carron Angeline Jeansonne April 26, 1945 - April 25, 2024 Carron Angeline Jeansonne (nee MacLeod) – 78, Stellarton, NS. It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Carron, or perhaps Aunt Ga. Carron was born in Big Baddeck, Cape Breton (God's country as Carron always referred to it) and passed away at the Valley View Villa on April 25, 2024, one day before her 79th birthday. Carron graduated from Nursing in 1967 from The Glace Bay General School of Nursing in Glace Bay, NS. Carron started her nursing carreer in Windsor, Ontario with public health at the tuberculosis clinic and worked there for several years. In 1974, Carron and Michel moved back home to the Maritimes. Carron became a stay at home mom and enjoyed taking Lawrence and Tara to their activities and volunteering in the community. Carron was married to Michel for 55 years. Michel has been a steady presence in Carron's life since they met at a Halloween party in 1967. Michel has been a devoted and caring husband to Carron all these years and her children, family and friends are thankful for his patience and caring. Michel will miss their afternoon drives around Pictou County for water at Green Hill, ice cream and scratch tickets. Carron is survived by her children Lawrence (Colleen), Tara (James), grandchildren Evan and Alex. Also, beloved great nephews and niece, Matthew (Katelyn, William and Jaxson) MacIntyre, Malcolm MacIntyre (Jenna) and Neila MacIntyre (Oleksiy, Wally and Lewis). Carron was known for her lifelong love of knitting. Many family and friends received beautiful pieces of artwork created by Carron. She also loved a good game of cards; always with the reminder, "there are no friends at the card table!". Carron's other loves were the Montreal Canadians. Much to Carron's disappointment, Lawrence was a Toronto Maple Leafs fan! They loved to tease each other about their favourite teams. Carron was an avid bowler for many years; Wednesday's were a staple for Carron to visit with friends and have lunch after. Carron also loved to read; which she passed along to her daughter Tara. Carron also loved talking on the phone to her friends and family. I am sure there will be many who will miss her weekly calls. Carron's mother passed away when she was 2 years young. Our hope, is that Carron finally gets to visit with her Mother Lucy. It was something Carron dearly missed her whole life. The family will receive visitors, 1-3pm,on Friday May3rd 2024 in the H.C.MacQuarrie Funeral Chapel with a service following immediately after in the H.C.MacQuarrie Funeral Chapel with Rev.Jun-hyok Chon officiating . Burial will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Carron may be made to the Miriam Unit of Sharon St. John United Church Arrangements have been entrusted to H.C. MacQuarrie Funeral Home. Tributes, words of comfort and memories may be shared a twww.angusfuneralhomes.com
