Obituary of Donald Cameron MacLean

With deep sadness and a profound sense of loss yet thankful for a life well lived we announce the passing of Donald Cameron MacLean, 95, of Churchville, formerly from Springville & Bridgeville. Donnie was born in Springville on May 28, 1928, the elder son of Robert & Ada MacLean. Besides his parents he was predeceased by his sister, Jean in 1940. Donnie & Evelyn farmed in Springville. He was fifth generation of MacLeans to settle in Springville and they farmed on the land where he was born. Donnie was also a machine operator in Trenton Machine shop for thirty years. He was a longtime active member of Bridgeville United Church and a 72year member of Union Lodge in Springville. Donnie is survived by his wife and best friend Evelyn (Reid), they were one month short of their 71st anniversary; children are Arlene (John MacGregor), Churchville, Jim (Margie), Bedford & Edna (Robert Langille), Scotsburn. He has eight grandchildren Robbie (Mary), Donnie (Kathryn), Bradley (Myrianne), Karen, Jessica (Suvir) & Allison (Grayson) and Helen (Chris) & Heather (Saga). He also has eight great grandchildren. He has one brother David (Catherine) in New Glasgow. A visitation will be held at Angus Funeral Home on Saturday, Apr. 27 2-4, 6-8. A private graveside service will be held.
