Linda Joyce Vaughan, age 80 of Caribou Island, formerly of Shubenacadie passed away at home surrounded by her family on September 1, 2026.

Born in Windsor Junction on March 4, 1946, she was a daughter of the late Alfred and Blanche Rosalyn (Hines) Dalrymple.

Linda and her partner Russ moved to Caribou Island where they enjoyed time spent walking the beach, collecting sea glass and going to the Caribou Island Lighthouse every day. She loved the outdoors whether it be gardening, ATVing, travelling on a motorcycle or just spending time outside watching the waves.

Linda loved people and enjoyed talking to people she met, loved a good yard sale, and collecting antiques. She and Russ ran their own antique shop for several years.

Linda dearly loved time spent with her family and especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren who would always huddle around her.

Linda is survived by her partner of 37 Years Russell Robert “Russ” Coady; daughter Cindy (Joe) Fiander; sons Andy (Lisa) Vaughan; Robert (Anne) Vaughan; grandchildren Chantal, Christy, Thomas, Matthew, Adam, Jessica, Tim, Ava and Logan; great-grandchildren Chayce, Kelvin; William, Aria, Alya, Peyton and Robert; brothers Laurie (Bernadette) Dalrymple; Rick Dalrymple; sister Anne (Keith) Weir.

She was predeceased by her husband Frank Grant Vaughan, granddaughter Morgan, grandson Robert; brother Donnie Dalrymple and sister Marion Fazio.

A celebration of Life will be held for Linda on Saturday, September 19 from 2-4 pm at Fat Tony’s, 9 Water Street, Pictou, NS.

Donations in in memory of Linda may be made to Canadian Cancer Society, Alzheimer’s Research or the SPCA.

A huge thank-you for the wonderful support from the palliative care and continuing care which made her stay at home possible and comfortable, most of all a huge thank-you to Mom’s niece Christa Weir who helped and stayed with her to the end.
