It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, daughter, sister and aunt Marion Sarah Forsyth of Thorburn, NS on Tuesday, August 25, 2026.

Marion was known for her kind and giving nature and lived with a lighthearted grace that naturally set others at ease. She carried this gentle warmth with her through teachers’ college and her early years in the classroom, before moving into a 30+ year career in customer service - most notably Walmart - where she became a well-known, welcoming face for everyone who walked through the doors.

The same boundless warmth was the heart of her home. Marion cherished her role as a mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, pouring her love into every generation. At home, she was always accompanied by beloved pet, Copper, and anyone who visited knew she was a legendary Elvis fan who spent a lifetime collecting all kinds of Elvis memorabilia - from wearables to home decor.

Marion will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

She is survived by her children Sherry (Johnson) and Timmy (JB); grandchildren Jordan (Josh), Brandy (Joseph), Damon and Chase; great-grandchildren Cas, Gunner, and Addison; mother Stella, brother Ray (Frances), nephew Dougie (Carol) and many nieces and nephews and extended family.

She was predeceased by husband, Timmy and her father, Ray.

A visitation will be held at HW Angus funeral home in New Glasgow on Saturday, August 29 from 6PM - 8PM, with a Celebration of Life held at Union Presbyterian Church Hall in Thorburn on Sunday, August 30 from 3PM - 5PM.
