Margaret “June” Fisher, age 94, of New Glasgow formerly of Churchville passed away on August 19, 2026 in the Aberdeen Hospital. Born in Plymouth she was a daughter of the late Roderick and Margaret (MacKenzie) MacLellan.

June returned to Pictou County after working at Lightening Fasteners (a zipper factory) in St. Catherines Ontario for a number of years. She was a member of Sharon St. John United Church in Stellarton.

She is survived by her daughter Debbie Bohunicky; step-son Donald Fisher; step-daughter Cindy Webb; sister Valerie Best; brother Wayne (Charlene) MacLellan; several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her husband Donald; grandson Wally Bohunicky; sisters Rose Larade, Bonnie Roach, Betty Snyder; brothers Gordon, Edward, Allan, Clarence, Robert and Harold; step-children Susan Burrows and Gerald Fisher.

Visitation will be from 6-8 pm Sunday, August 23 in the H.W. Angus Funeral Home New Glasgow. Funeral service will be held at 11 am on Monday, August 24 in the H.W. Angus Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jun Hyok-Chon officiating. Cremation will follow. Burial will be in the Springville Cemetery at a later date. Donations in memory of June may be made to Tearman House or Aberdeen Hospital Palliative Care.
