It is with great sadness that we announce Shirley Doreen Collie of Stellarton, passed away on July 6, 2026 at the Aberdeen Hospital. She was born in Windsor, NS, on August 23, 1943, to the late Walter and Cora Woodman.

Doreen lived most of her years in Stellarton and retired from Sears Warehouse in Stellarton. She was very active in her community, from her church and volunteering for many organizations.

She is survived by her son Bruce Reynolds (Calgary), and daughters Tanya (Wayne) Dort (Burlington, ON) and Beth Reynolds (Truro, NS); chosen daughter Shelley (Cameron) MacDonald (Braeshore, NS); 9 grandchildren who were her pride and joy, and 3 great-grandchildren; brother Keith (Falmouth, NS) and Garnett (Winnipeg, MN).

Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband George; and siblings Earl, Cyril, Percy, Ralph, Elise, Walter, John, and Glenna.

Cremation has taken place. No visitation by request of Doreen. A memorial service will be held at First Presbyterian Church in Stellarton, NS, at 11am on Wednesday, July 15, with Rev. Charles McPherson officiating. A reception will follow the service in the church hall. A private family burial will take place in Heatherdale Memorials Gardens in Alma, NS.
