Nancy Lee Carpenter Obituary

Nancy Lee (Elmers) Carpenter of West River Station, NS.

To my Friends and Family, it is hard to leave the ones you love. You are the heart of me.

I was born in New Glasgow, NS and grew up in Stellarton, the proud daughter of Ethel (Stone) & John Elmers.

I leave behind my wonderful husband Ken Carpenter, my much loved son Aryon Elmers (Cow Bay, NS) and daughter Lisa Brown (Cow Bay, NS) & beautiful grand- daughter Chance Brown-Pelly and daughter Billie Malowany (Sedgewick, AB.) I am survived by my sister Julie and William Wynands, (Stellarton, NS), nephew Joseph Wynands & family (Lyons Brook, NS) and niece Jaime Stone-Garvin & family (Truro, NS).

I was preceded in death by my parents, my younger brother David Elmers (West River, NS), grandparents, aunts, uncles and several cousins.

I lived most of my life in Toronto, ON working for The War Amps and then for the Toronto Transit Commission as a Driver, Operator, Safety Officer & Driver Training Instructor.  I retired in 2004; returning to NS. the same year, to live in a beautiful log cabin in West River Station.

I enjoyed my time as a Firearms Instructor and being the first Female President of the Staghorn Shooting Club.

There will be a graveside service on August 8th at 2pm in Christ Anglican Cemetery, Stellarton. A reception will follow at 2656 Hwy 376, Lyon's Brook, NS (the former Piper's Landing Resturant).

Please make Donations to the Charity of your choice, in my name.

Fare ye well

Nancy
