It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Robert {Herbie} Leroy Curtis who passed away at the age of 68 on June 2nd, 2026. Herbie was born in New Glasgow to the late Mary {Morton}Preston of Truro and Robert Curtis of Trenton.

 Herbie is survived by his children Tayna {Kurtis Stewart} Curtis, Ronnie {Tracy} Davidson, Dora {Johnny Callahan} Davidson, Stanley Murchison, Vanessa (Adalai) Mills; 15 grandchildren, 28 grandchildren many nieces and nephews; sister Elizabeth {Peter} Lays.

 Herbie was predeceased by his wife Margaret {Margie} Curtis, daughter Darlene; grandson Jermey Mills; parents Mary {Morton} Preston of Truro and Robert Curtis of Trenton; brother John Curtis of Trenton; sisters Catherine {Kathy} MacDonald of Telford, Susan {Susie} Wentzell of Trenton.

Today I’ve smoked my last cigarette, savored my last Tim Hortons coffee, and downed my last half pint of vodka. I’ve also watched my last hockey game and told my last joke. Today is the best day of my life, I’m excited to spend eternity with the love of my life. Good bye to you my family and friends.

 Visitation will be held at the H.C. MacQuarrie Funeral Chapel, Stellarton from 2-4 and 6-8 pm on Friday, June 5. Family burial will take place at a later date in Heatherdale Memorial Gardens.
