Gloria Ann (Dahr) MacDonald, 87 of Stellarton went home to be with her Lord and Saviour with her family by her side on May 22, 2026. Mom will be remembered as a beautiful mother, grandmother and great grandmother.

Mom has been retired for 31 years after a short career with Electrohome and Versa Services at the Aberdeen Hospital. Mom has been a member of Bethel Baptist Church, Westville, for 35 years.

Mom is survived by her 4 children; Cindy (Joe) Hunter, Jack (Cathy) MacDonald, Rob (Sabine) MacDonald and Sandra (Rick) Bezanson. Six grandchildren; Allison, Darren (Michelle), Alex (Laurence), Kyle (Trish), Kris (Ashlee) and Samantha (Jacob), and 10 great grandchildren; Conner, Paige, Holden, Addie, Amaya, Huxley, Kai, Avah, Chloe, Lea and step great grandson; Zayden. Mom is also survived by her brother Gordie, sisters-in-law Joyce Findlay, Gladys Allin, brother-in-law Milton (Catherine) Findlay.

Mom was predeceased by her parents; Burton and Myrtle (Robar) Dahr, brothers; Donald and Dennis, sister; Muriel, several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephew and sister and brothers-in-law.

A special thanks to Mom’s besties that took her to church functions, lunches and shopping trips, who were also there for Mom when we couldn’t be and to give her a helping hand when needed; Anna, Debbie, Diane, Cathy, Sue and Sonya. Also, thanks to the Bethel Baptist Church in Westville, her pastors and church family for loving Mom and support for us during difficult times. Many thanks are given to the Palliative Care Unit, DRs. Kwasnick and Straub, nursing staff for their exceptional compassion and support given to Mom during her final days.

Visitation will be held at HC MacQuarrie Funeral Chapel, Stellarton, on Wednesday, May 27 from 6-9PM. Funeral service will be held at Bethel Baptist Church, Westville, on Thursday, May 28 at 11AM, reception to follow with a private family burial in Lorne Cemetery. Family flowers only, if so desired, memorial donations may be made in memory of Mom, to Bethel Baptist Church, Westville.
