With broken hearts we announce the passing of Jacob Walter Larkham of Garden of Eden, who passed away on April 17th, 2026 at the age of 41. 

Jacob was as the beloved son of Stephen (Melanie) Larkham of Rossfield & Mary Prest of Piedmont Valley. 

Jacob now joins his oldest son & best friend, Kallen. He leaves behind the love of his life of 11 years, his wife Nikki, along with their loving children Jaxon, Bentley, Brayden & Brooke. Jacob is the youngest brother of Michael Larkham of New Glasgow, Tracey (Allen) Truly of Trenton, Jason Nickerson (Holly Elsworth) of Manitoba, Amanda Tabor Hamptom of New Brunswick, Sabrina McPhee of Moncton, Maya McPhee of New Glasgow, and Joseph McPhee of Rossfield. Son in law of Donnie & Cathy Cook of Central West River and brother in law Ryan (Kristina) Cook of Pictou Landing. He was loved by many uncles, aunts, cousins, nieces & nephews. 

He was predeceased by his son Kallen, his grandparents, as well as some aunts and uncles. 

Jacob was born in Antigonish on August 8th of 1984. He enjoyed his career as an iron worker and worked hard throughout his life but loved his family and time spent with them the most. 

He loved spending time with his kids taking them fishing, helping to fix their dirtbikes, beach days with Brooke, who will forever be his little sweetheart. 

Jacob and Nikki enjoyed exploring Nova Scotia together, looking for new waterfalls and beaches to find a new view of a beautiful sunset. 

A wake for Jacob will be held on Monday April 27th at the H. W. Angus & MacQuarrie Funeral Homes from 2:00-4:00 and 6:00-8:00. The funeral will be held on Tuesday April 28th at Union Presbyterian Church in Thorburn at 2:00pm. 

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the family to support the children’s educations. 

Forever loved, deeply missed & never forgotten.
