Hal Murrell Obituary

Harold “Hal” David Murrell, 67, of Hazel Glen, passed away on Tuesday, January 27, 2026 at the Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow.


Born on July 16, 1958, he was a son of the late Harold Garfield and Jean (Flynn) Murrell of Stellarton.


Hal was a long time (37 years) employee with the NSLC, having retired as manager. He and his wife Eva, enjoyed spending time together while camping in New Harbour. An avid guitar player, fan of the Boston Bruins but most importantly, Hal was a family man, kind and caring to all he knew.


He is survived by his wife, Eva (Terris), sons; Luke (Margaret) and Kevin (Natalie), grandchildren; Camdon, Ayla and Logan. Sisters; Peggy and Pam (Craig Walsh).


Besides his parents, Hal was predeceased by a sister, Linda.


Cremation has taken place. Visitation for Hal will be held on Sunday, February 1 from 2-4pm at the H.C. MacQuarrie Funeral Chapel, Stellarton.
