Maureen Donna Crane Obituary

Maureen Donna Crane passed away peacefully at the Halifax Hospice on Thursday, January 8, 2026. Born on March 13, 1956, she was the youngest daughter of the late Murray and Shirley (Proudfoot) Holley of Eureka, Pictou County. For the past 36 years, she and her family have lived in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia. 


Maureen is survived by her children Paul, Julia and Curtis, and by the grandson she raised, Mateus; five grandchildren; her sister and brother-in-law, Catherine and Bill Haslam, Hopewell; and her brother-in-law, Bob Porter, Alma.


Maureen was predeceased by her second husband, Ed Crane; her first husband, Paul Dorrington, the father of her children; and her sister, Margaret Porter.


To honour Maureen’s wishes, there will be no funeral service.
