It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Kathleen (Rogers) Vacheresse, who passed away peacefully early on Sunday, December 21, 2025 at Ivey’s Terrace in Trenton at the remarkable age of 103.

A lifelong resident of Thorburn, Kathleen was predeceased by her parents, Mary and Edward Rogers; her husband, Edward; her daughter, Paulette; her sons, Gerald and Paul; her brothers, Harry, Frankie, and Roy; her sisters, Tina, Patsy and Rita.

She is survived by her brother, Jerry; her son Wayne; and daughters, Marilyn, Carol, Jean, and Fay. She also leaves behind many grandchildren and great-grandchildren, all of whom brought her immense joy.

Kathleen was a devoted and loving mother who cherished time with her family. She embraced every opportunity to be involved in their lives and had a special fondness for all the family pets. Known for her kindness, strength, and unwavering work ethic, Kathleen never complained and inspired admiration from all who knew her.

She enjoyed travelling-especially if it involved shopping-and later in life became an enthusiastic bingo player. Kathleen took great pride in maintaining a warm and welcoming home.

She worked for 14 years at the Textile Plant in Stellarton. Later, she and her husband Edward served as caretakers at a provincial park until their retirement.

Kathleen will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. Her presence filled our hearts with love, joy, and excitement, and her memory will remain forever cherished.

No words can truly express the depth of our loss.

Visitation will be on Saturday, December 27 from 10 am until the time of funeral service at 11 am with Deacon Sander Burke officiating in the H.W. Angus Funeral Home, New Glasgow. Burial will be held at a later date in St. Ann’s Cemetery in Thorburn.
