Diane Marie Swanwick-Macleod peacefully passed away on the morning of the 8th of December. She was surrounded by the loving caring staff whom were considered part of the family at the Shiretown Long Term Care Facility in Pictou.

Diane was loved and will be forever missed by her daughter Charlotte MacLeod, son Ernie MacLeod, granddaughter Rosalie MacLeod, husband Ernest MacLeod and brother John Swanwick. She is survived by nephews Johnny Swanwick, Bruce Swanwick and Kay Swanwick. Sister Jean, husband Terry Vail, nieces Rhonda, Debbie and nephew Mark. Her grandson Jeffrey Paddon. Dorothy Lochhead and family. 

Diane worked as a PCW at the Valley View Villa, and spent many years nurturing children and was a caring foster parent. Known for her sense of humour and compassion Diane will be missed by many.

Diane's soul is at eternal rest in our Lord and Savior's heavenly kingdom joining all of her family and friends whom have gone before her.

There will be a graveside service at St. Ann’s Cemetery Thorburn in the Summer of 2026, which will be announced at a later date.
