Phillip Alexander MacLeod Obituary

It is with heavy hearts and profound sadness that we announce the passing of our son, brother and friend Phillip Alexander Macleod.

Phillip put up a battle for two years before spending the last two weeks in the hospital and the last week in palliative care, where he took his last breath along side his father John on November 29th 2025. After a long, hard fight Phillip can finally be at rest and reunite with his mom whom he was predeceased by.

On August 26th 1983 John and Janette welcomed their second baby boy into the world, born in Stellarton Nova Scotia. Phillip grew up surrounded by his father's 9 siblings and his mother's 4 siblings. Phillip later went on to University once for business administration and second for diagnostic cytology and graduated with a 3.09 GPA, he later moved back to his home town Stellarton where he lived for the rest of his life.

Phillip was a proud member of the Nova Scotia Health Authority where he was dedicated to his career helping others and loved what he did. In his free time Phillip enjoyed playing multiple instruments and shared his talent at Our Lady of Lourdes church where he gave the gift of music to the church community with devotion and heart.

Known for his kindness and steady presence Phillip was loved by many and brought so much light and laughter to everyone's life, his witty jokes, strong faith, sharp sarcasm and the way he could turn any conversation into a deep dive into science, space, and multi dimensional theories will surely be missed and remembered forever.

Phillip was honoured to be apart of so many peoples lives whether it was friends or family, from everyone he met from being a sales representative at Regal Gifts to everyone he met working in health care. As Phillip moves on into the afterlife he leaves behind a legacy of strong faith and great strength. He leaves behind a large and loving family who are deeply devastated by this loss.

His father John and stepmother Kenda, brother Michael (Amanda), step brothers Kayle (Felicia) and Christopher (Brittany), sister Olivia, and chosen sister Carys, along with many nieces and nephews, cousins and Aunt and Uncles who will miss the sarcasm, jokes, and strong faith of Phillip. Phillip's famous last words were "don't cry for me, rejoice" which is exactly what we will be doing in this hard time knowing he is in a better place and is no longer in pain.

Visitation will be taking place on Tuesday December 2nd 2025 from 2pm-4pm and 6pm-8pm at H.C. MacQuarries Funeral Home, Stellarton. Followed by mass on Wednesday December 3rd 2025 at 11am at Our Lady of Lourdes church, Stellarton.Burial will be in the Parish Cemetery. Donations in memory of Phillip may be made to the Palliative Care Unit of the Aberdeen Hospital.
