Herbert Edward “Herbie” Melroy, 90, of Stellarton and formerly of Caledonia, passed away on November 14, 2025, at the Aberdeen Hospital.
Herb was born in Wentworth to David and Sophia (O’Brien) Melroy on December 9, 1934. He attended school in Wallace, NS. He moved to Caledonia after meeting his wife Donna, and they had five children together. He worked for Donald E. Cameron Ltd for 37 years. Herb also loved to go fishing, watch wrestling, listen to music, do puzzles, and spin his tires on the pavement with his grandkids and the workers.
Herb is survived by wife Donna; sons Barry (Annette), Jason (Tracey); Granddaughters Amanda (Brandon), Hannah, Olivia, and Maria; His prized great grandson Cameron; and many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased in death by sons Terry and Dale; Daughter Maxine; grandson BJ; and brothers, sisters, and in-laws.
A celebration of life will be held at the Plymouth Fire Hall on November 22, 2025, from 3pm-8pm. Burial will take place at a later date with family only.
Memorial donations may be made to his wife Donna.
