William “Billy” Alfred Hatfield age 79, of Trenton, NS passed away on October 26, 2025 in the Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow. Born in New Glasgow he was a son of the late William and Margaret (Dixon) Hatfield.
Billy was employed at Trenton Works for many years from where he retired. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, long drives in the country on the back roads and a good game of golf. Billy loved to spend time at his camp in Aspen.
He is survived by his wife Isabel (Hafey); son Kevin Hatfield, Truro; daughter Kathy Hatfield, Stellarton; sisters Peggy (Ken) Gillis, New Glasgow; Barb Purvis, New Glasgow; Beverly (Leonard) Melanson, Hopewell; sisters-in-law Diane Sewell, New Glasgow; Linda Hatfield, Stellarton and many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his brother Bobby Hatfield and sister Betty Hartling.
Cremation has taken place and the family are going to celebrate Billy’s life privately.
The family would like to extend special thanks to Dr. Spencer Barclay, the staff at the Aberdeen Palliative Care Unit, the VON and his sister Peggy and her husband Ken Gillis for their care and support.
