Jean Robertson Stewart

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Jean Robertson Stewart of Stellarton. Jean was the beloved daughter of the late Robert and Margaret (MacMillan) Kirkwood.

Jean had many passions throughout her life and mastered several — especially baking, knitting, and keeping everyone in line as the boss of the household. She also found great joy in spending time outdoors tending to her yard, getting lost in a good book, and filling her home with Christmas music all year round — even in July.

Jean will be deeply missed by her husband, Barry; her sons, Darrell, George “Doug” (Carrie), and Matthew Joseph (Emma); five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; her sister, Dolly (George); and many nieces and nephews.

A funeral service to celebrate Jean’s life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on November 1st at Freedom Bible Church, Sutherland’s River. A time of fellowship and celebration will follow the service.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Lung Association of Nova Scotia, the SPCA, the Alzheimer Society, or a charity of your choice.
