It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Rosalind June Clark, age 87 on October 25, 2025. June was born on June 13 1938 to the late James and Margaret (O'Connor) Macdonald. She spent a happy childhood growing up in Eden Lake on the family farm.
June will be deeply missed by her family. She is survived by her brother Jackie Macdonald, her children Glenn (Cheryl) Clark and Mary (Tom) Clark Hahn. Her grandchildren Aidan, Natasha, Shelby and niece Sharon (Bob) Bartlett and nephew Kevin Brooks, as well as her kitty Zack.
She was predeceased by her husband Raymond Clark of 44 years and her sisters Sheila Macdonald (in infancy), Christine Overin, and Lillian Buchanan.
June married the love of her life Ray on September 9 1963. Ray came from a large family and June had lots of company when Ray was off working. June had a kind heart and was funny with a good sense of humour. She also had a stubborn streak which you didn't cross. She was renowned for her fudge and her love of wrestling. Many times, we would be at John Brother stadium (ringside) or the exhibitions for Grand Prix Wrestling events. She would always be cheering for Leo Burke. June loved her afternoon soap operas as well as a meal of KFC. In her younger days June and Ray would be in the CNR bowling league, often going to tournaments for the weekend. She loved going to dances with family and friends as well as skating. June also attended TOPS for many years.
Our family would like to thank special friend Charlene Smith for all her help and companionship. We would also like to thank Laura Smith and the 4th floor nurses at the Aberdeen Hospital for their kindness and compassion.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of H.C. MacQuarrie Funeral Chapel in Stellarton, NS. Visitation 7-9 pm Wednesday, October 29 and funeral at the Christ Anglican Church at 11AM Thursday, October 30 with reception to follow.
