It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Tracey Adele Blackie at the age of 40.  Tracey passed away on September 24, 2025, at the QEII Health Sciences Centre with her father at her side.  Tracey was predeceased by her mother, Donna Jean (Patterson) Blackie and her maternal and paternal grandparents – Ernie & Marcella Patterson (Stellarton, NS) & Hugh & Florence MacIsaac (Pictou, NS).    Tracey leaves behind her father, Frederick Wayne Blackie (Port Bickerton, NS), a daughter Sara (Ontario),  and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.   While Tracey faced many struggles and hardships in her short life, it was comforting for her family to know that she was described by words such as compassionate, caring, kind, generous, and brave.  Until the end, she continued to display her deep wit and sense of humor.
