It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Isabelle (McKinnon) Henderson of Stellarton who left us peacefully in the early morning of September 15, 2025 surrounded by her loving family.

She will deeply be missed by her sister and best friend Leslie, brother-in-law Randy MacEachern and her brother Donald Power (Carol Ann); North Sydney; step daughters, Monique (Rob) Sobey and Rene (Pascal Beland).

She was predeceased by her beloved husband Dave, parents Gerald and Bridget McKinnon, her sister Dianne, brother Jerry and twin brothers Jim and Bob.

She will be missed by many dear friends, especially her best friend and walking buddy of over 40 years, Ann MacDougall who held a very dear place in her heart, she was always there through good times and bad.

For over 40 years Isabelle was a valued and dedicated receptionist at Atlantic Insurance where she took pride in greeting everyone by name and everyone in return, knew hers.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to our amazing neighbors, Roy and Sharon Doggett and our special friend Beverly Turner who all went above and beyond more than we ever could have imagined or expected. The family would also like to acknowledge everyone who sent texts, emails, flowers, food, cards, or any expressions of thoughtfulness and compassion during Isabelle’s journey.

We are deeply grateful to Dr. Alexander Ednie, Family Doctor Bashar Jazrawi and his receptionist Vanessa for their care and support throughout Isabelle’s journey. They would also like to thank EHS, the emergency department and 4th floor Aberdeen.

Her illness may have won the battle in the end, but at no time did it manage to take away from her kindness, courage, compassion or humor towards those she loved.

As per Isabelle’s wishes there will be no visitation or funeral service. A private gathering will be held at a later date to celebrate her life. She has been cremated and burial will be in Our Lady of Lourdes Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made in memory of Isabelle to the Pictou County Fuel Fund, Pictou County Food Bank or do an act of kindness for someone in need.

Isabelle loved all music, please play your favorite song and think of her.
