Sandra Lee Roberts, age 71, formerly of Stellarton, passed away on August 4th ,2025 in the Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow. Born on October 31 ,1953 in Little Harbour she was a daughter of Florence Fraser.
Sandra worked at the Aberdeen Hospital having earned her red seal as a chef retiring after 47 years. A hard working woman she was 20 years old when she started having worked her way up from mopping floors, washing dishes to chef. She held six Canadian records for Powerlifting. Sandra loved to visit her grandchildren Megan McGrath and Colin McGrath in the United States.
She loved her flower gardens and took pride in her home and yard, she also enjoyed baking cookies and bringing treats to all she loved. Sandra and Jim loved to travel and see the wonders of the Atlantic Canada especially the beaches around Nova Scotia. She was more like a grandmother to Adam, Griffin and Katie who she loved with all her heart. Sandra had a beautiful heart and will be missed by her family and friends and all that knew her, she will always be remembered.
Surviving are her best friend, travel buddy and loving husband of 35 years James Roberts, son Reginald McGrath (Kim) Tennessee, twin sister Betty Pound, sister Barbara Gratto, brother Alan Fraser, grandchildren Megan and Colin McGrath. Stepson Jason and stepdaughters Kim and Terri-Lynn.
Sandra was predeceased by brothers Robert Fraser, Earl Fraser and Donald Fraser.
The family will receive visitors from 7-9 P.M. on Monday August 11 in the H.W. Angus Funeral Home from where a memorial service will be held from the funeral home chapel on Tuesday August 12 at 2 P.M. with Mr. John Reeves officiating.
The family would like to give special thanks to the staff at Valley View Villa and the staff at the Palliative Care Unit at the Aberdeen Hospital for the care Sandra received .
