John William "Bill" Jordan Obituary

John William “Bill” Jordan, age 92 of Valley View Villa formerly of Newtown and Little Harbour passed away on May 9, 2025 at the Valley View Villa.


Born in Antigonish on May 14, 1932 he was a son of the late John Henry and Janie (Cruickshank) Jordan.


Bill grew up in Newtown Guysborough County. He became a truck driver and travelled across Canada and to the USA for 27 years. After retiring from trucking, he became a chauffeur for Imperial Oil for a number of years. He was a member of the Glenelg Presbyterian Church.


Bill is survived by his nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and great-great nieces and nephews.

He predeceased by his wife the former Virginia Teresa (Dozois) Jordan and by his sister Kathleen “Kaye” MacKay.


There will be no visitation by request, a private burial will take place in the Evergreen Cemetery in Aspen. Donations in memory of Bill may be made to Evergreen Cemetery Aspen, Glenelg Presbyterian Church, Aspen or a charity of your choice.
