Alan Bruce Conway Obituary

We are saddened to announce the passing of our brother, Alan, at his home in Bible Hill on April 10th.

Alan was born in Halifax to Robert and Hallie Conway on September 30th, 1955. He grew up in Halifax where he attended QEH, Dalhousie University, and NSCC. Alan studied Metallurgy at NSCC, and worked several years for the Westray Mine in Stellarton. He then studied Nuclear Medicine Technology, after which he moved to reside in Cornwall, Ontario, to work at the Cornwall Hospital in this field.

Alan moved back to Nova Scotia last summer to reside in Bible Hill.

Alan had two beautiful collie dogs, Strider and Ben. They were his pride and joy and brought great comfort to his life.

Alan is survived by his brother Robert (Susan) Conway of Dartmouth, sisters Dianne (Vern) Shaffner of Halifax, and Lynn Henderson of Balfron, and many nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his parents Robert and Hallie.

The family would like to thank the VON and the Canadian Red Cross for their care and service during Alan’s time in Bible Hill.

By request, cremation has taken place. There will be a graveside service in Riverview Cemetery in Merigomish at a later date.
