Helen Louise Roberts Obituary

Helen finished a life well lived.


Helen Louise (Fraser) Roberts passed away on March 12, 2025, at the Aberdeen Hospital surrounded by her family that loved her. Born in Blanchard on August 5, 1935, she was the daughter of Peter and Jessie (Campbell) Fraser.


Helen worked many years at MT&T in Halifax where she met her husband, Jack. They enjoyed going to old time dances in Sunny Brae, where they eventually retired.


Helen enjoyed spending time with her son and grandchildren, and also doing crossword puzzles.


Helen is survived by her son Paul (Melanie), granddaughter Emily, and her grandchildren Blake and Blair. She is also survived by her sister Catherine (McCrate) Muise (Coalburn), brother Simon (Betty) Fraser (Thorburn), and many nieces and nephews.


She was predeceased by her husband John (Jack) Roberts, her parents Peter and Jessie Fraser, brother Robert (Joyce) Fraser, sisters Bessie (Donald) MacIssac and Isobel (Harold) Hambleton, and brothers-in-law Bill McCrate and John Muise.


A public graveside service will be held at 11am on Saturday, April 26th, 2025 in the Bridgeville Cemetery.


Donations in Helen’s name may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
