For Edna's family: I am Edna's first cousin once removed. My mother was Phillis Archibald Smith. ( A. D. Archibald's and Mary Graham's daughter.) My mother and I and my sister Laurie travelled to Nova Scotia in 1998. Edna welcomed us so warmly as did Vi, Hugh, and Elsie. We proudly stood by a sign that said Archibald Creek. My favourite memory of the trip was having lunch in a small cafe with them all and Edna kept us laughing so much and I felt part of a family that I had never met. Edna and I kept in touch over the years and I valued our connection. Milton lives relatively near me and one day I know we will meet up, as we have spoken of several times. I have so many warm and wonderful memories of Edna. My name is John Fraser and in the late 60's I moved to Blue Mountain to be the student minister of Blue Mountain, Garden of Eden and East River St. Marys. I have enjoyed fellowship in her home and meals at the family table. I am semi-retired at the moment and living in Florida, but I have never forgotten the Fraser family of Blair Church. Over the years whenever I vacationed in Nova Scotia, I would always make it a point to visit my friends in the Garden of Eden. God bless all of Edna's family. Thank you for precious memories.

While Liz and I have not been with your Mom often , and do not know her well , we want to send you our deepest sympathy. She made us feel so very welcome and comfortable when we did visit the couple of times we made it to Nova Scotia.. She demonstrated her faith and love, and she has a wonderful supportive family. Heartfelt condolences to Edna's family at her passing. We got to know her and love her during the time she was a resident of Glen Haven Manor where we volunteered. She was always such a joy to be around. While I know you are missing your dear Mother please know that she has caught the train to glory where there is no more pain or suffering, only joy that human hearts cannot begin to imagine. One day we will all get our chance to get on that train and when you do you will indeed see her again.
