Fraser Burns Munro

It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Fraser B. Munro (61) of Stellarton on Sept 18, 2024, in the comfort of his home. He was predeceased by his parents W. Burns Munro and Edith (MacKay) Munro of Westville.
In his early years, he was a proud member of the Stellarton High School Band under the direction of Bob Stewart. After high school, he attended the NS Vocational School to become an automotive mechanic. After many years as a mechanic, he changed careers and became a melter at the former Maritime Steel and Foundries Ltd. In New Glasgow where he finished out his remaining years in the labour force.
He is survived by his loving wife of 31 years Brenda (Mackintosh) Munro of Stellarton. Stepsons Randy (Susan) Simpson of Hopewell, Jamie (Kim) Simpson of Stellarton, Grandchildren Kyle/Kayla/Tabitha and Kevin, and Great Grandchildren Brea and Myah, and many brother and sister in laws, nieces and nephews.
He was recently reunited with his birth mother Doris Dixon of Pictou. He was also extremely excited to find out he was a big brother to Darlene (Steve), Beatrice (Jimmy), Ed (Ora), James (Lisa) all of Pictou County. This reuniting brough so much joy to Fraser and you could see it in his face when he talked about them.
He will be sadly missed by family and his many friends. He was a gentle soul and one of a kind.
As per Frasers wishes, there will be no visitations or service. His ashes will be spread at a later date.
