Charles Donald Covey

April 4,1934-December 8,2023

Known as Don by friends and family, Don passed away peacefully in the early evening December 8th at Ivey's Terrace Nursing Home, Pictou County, his son at his side.

Don shared fond memories of friendships he had and of growing up in Indian Harbour, Halifax County, Nova Scotia.

Don retired from the civil service in 1992, he worked in the Department of Defence Identification unit at the Halifax Dockyard Site. He spent much of his retirement enjoying the outdoors at his retirement property on Concord Road, Pictou County. He loved gardening, walking and fishing.

Don was predeceased by his parents, siblings and wife, Catherine and is survived by his son, Clifford as well as nephews and nieces in Nova Scotia and Ontario.

Don and his family appreciate the attention and care he received from neighbours, friends, VON at his apartment. He could often be seen walking East River Road, New Glasgow, Nova Scotia. As well the family commends the exemplary attention and care from Ivey's Terrace Nursing Home during his entire time there. We appreciate everyone involved.

A celebration of life will be announced to family and close friends for the spring in 2024.
