Obituary of June Buck
Please share a memory of June to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Evelyn “June” Buck; We are saddened to announce the passing of our mother and grandmother, Evelyn “June” Buck on January 30, 2022. June was born on October 31, 1931 in Toronto, Ontario. She was the only daughter of the late Charles and Mabel Latimer.
June worked as a switchboard operator in Ontario and also the Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow, N.S. She also cared for youngsters in her home in later years. She had a very dry sense of humor and we will cherish the memory of her unique personality. So many “June Moments” to make us smile. Our mom loved children and adored her 7 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. We will miss you “Nanny June”.
June is survived by her brother Earl Latimer of Collingwood, Ontario, her daughter Debbie Buck, Sylvester her 2 sons Stephen (Maria) Buck, Seafoam and Bradley Buck, New Hamburg, Ontario, grandchildren Daniel Buck, Sophie Peters, Emily (Mike) Buck-Morgan, Marcel and Peter Buck, Ryan and Katie Buck and 3 great grandchildren. June is also survived by her daughter-in-law Dana Livingstone, her sister -in-law Doreen (Nelson) Hunter, Ontario; numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
Thank-you to longtime Ontario friends who kept in regular touch with Mom, Shirley, Margaret and Pat; your friendship meant the world to her.
June was predeceased by her parents Charles and Mabel Latimer of Collingwood Ontario; David Buck father of her three children ; her brother Robert Latimer and sister-in-law Sylvia Latimer.
Thank-you to friends and family for all your kind condolences.
We would like to also thank the staff of High Crest Place for Mom’s wonderful care while she was a resident there before coming to live with her daughter for the past 4 years. Also, our deepest thanks to the caregivers and staff of Shiretown Nursing Home, Pictou where Mom resided for the past few months. You treated her with such care and compassion of which she was well aware. Thank-you for being there when our “Little June Bug” got her wings.
