Obituary of Elizabeth Ann Millen

Millen, Elizabeth Ann, 86 of New Glasgow passed away January 20, 2020 in the Palliative Care Unit of the Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow surrounded by her loving family. Born in New Glasgow she was a daughter of the late Daniel Eugene and Mary Ann (King)Sheehan. Elizabeth was a loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She was a strong and determined lady who could do just about anything she set her mind to. She loved working outside in her flower gardens, doing jigsaw puzzles and especially loved her late night bon fires. She treated her cat Miss Kitty “Mooch” like royalty after rescuing her from the spca. They were best buddies. She will be greatly missed by her daughter Lynn Maclean(Paul), Linacy; a son Neil Millen(Julie), Halifax; grandchildren; Dylan(Danielle), Emily, Hailey and Ethan all of Halifax; a sister Frances Thompson, Trenton; a brother Doug(Mary)Sheehan, New Glasgow; a sister-in-law Carol Sheehan, Ontario; many nieces and nephews. Besides her parents she was predeceased by her husband Warren Millen, daughter Brenda Millen, a sister Katherine in infancy, a sister Mary MacDonald, brothers; Danial ” Bud”, David, Gordon ,Angus and Raymond "Bish" The family would like to thank Dr. Kwasnik and all the nurses at the palliative care unit for their kindness and support. Cremation has taken place. The family will receive visitors from 1-3pm Saturday at the H.W. Angus Funeral Home, New Glasgow from where a memorial service will be held at 3pm with Rev. Andrew MacDonald presiding. A reception will follow the service in the funeral home. Burial will take place at a later date in Heatherdale Memorial Gardens. angusfuneralhomes.com
